A Carefully Designed Path to Excellence
Public speaking is not just about addressing an audience; it is about owning your story, building connections, and making a lasting impact. The recently concluded Own Your Voice Mentorship Program proved to be an extraordinary journey of transformation, equipping participants with the tools, confidence, and presence to command any audience.
This three-month mentorship program built upon the foundation laid in the Public Speaking Basics (PSB) class. Designed with a blend of personalized guidance, hands-on practice, and continuous progress tracking, it did more than teach public speaking; it empowered participants to step boldly into the spotlight and own their voices.
A Carefully Designed Path to Excellence
The Own Your Voice Mentorship Program offered a structured yet personalized experience that left no stone unturned in ensuring each participant’s success.
The program unfolded in three transformative stages:
Self-Awareness and Reflection (Month 1):
- Participants began by identifying their strengths and areas for improvement, setting personal goals that resonated with their aspirations.
- Activities like journaling and performance analysis created a foundation for meaningful growth.
Enhancing Communication (Month 2):
- Advanced communication techniques, vocal variety, and audience engagement strategies were introduced.
- Mentees tackled challenging speaking scenarios, learning to captivate their audience and handle pressure with poise.
Practical Application (Month 3):
- This phase focused on real-world readiness, with exercises like audience research, handling Q&A sessions, and mental preparation.
- Opportunities to join Mr. Dei at live speaking engagements provided invaluable, hands-on experience.
Each stage was delivered through a mix of virtual and in-person sessions, supplemented by curated video resources, PowerPoint presentations, and reflection forms to ensure participants absorbed and applied what they learned.
